Browsing online marketplaces for a fuss-free daily ticker often leads to listings with massive titles like the Casio Watch Women Watches Luxury Set. Priced at S$42.56 with around 230 orders and a high 97.7% positive feedback rating, this Casio LTP-1169 series quartz watch easily catches the eye of bargain hunters in Singapore. Whether you need an unassuming piece for squeezing onto the morning MRT train or something simple that survives the walk to the neighbourhood kopitiam, it looks tempting on paper. However, buying branded gear from overseas storefronts always comes with caveats regarding authenticity, regional guarantees, and real-world durability.

What the Listing Tells Us About the LTP-1169
The product title confirms three primary facts: this is an LTP-1169 series model, it runs on an analogue quartz movement, and it features 30m water resistance. Casio designs its LTP range specifically as compact, everyday women's watches. Because the listing title omits dial color options, exact case dimensions, and strap materials, you should check the product description images directly to see if you are getting stainless steel or folded metal links. For wrist proportion checks before paying, our case size finder can help you visualize how small-format dress cases rest against different wrist sizes.
Water Resistance in the Singapore Climate
The watch is labelled with 30m water resistance. In watchmaker terms, 30 meters does not mean you can dive down 30 meters during an East Coast Park outing. It strictly denotes resistance to light splashes, brief rain showers while running between HDB void decks, and accidental sink overspray. High humidity, heavy tropical downpours, and hot steam from kitchen chores can challenge basic gaskets over time. If you plan to wear your watch during intense workouts or swimming at the local sports complex, 30m is inadequate. Explore our water resistance guide to see what rating fits our sweaty, wet climate best.
Spotting Fakes: Casio Watch Women Watches Luxury Set
AliExpress hosts genuine independent exporters alongside gray-market dealers and outright counterfeiters. When evaluating the Casio Watch Women Watches Luxury Set, do not take the low price of S$42.56 as absolute proof of a counterfeit, since standard Casio LTP watches are genuinely inexpensive worldwide. However, you must verify the store carefully. Inspect customer image reviews to check whether the caseback engraving matches Casio standard typography and alignment. Scrutinize store age and review history rather than just the 97.7% score. For a step-by-step checklist, read our guide on how to spot a fake Casio before entering your payment details.
Singapore Shipping, GST, and Local Warranty Reality
Ordering small consumer items into Singapore is straightforward, but the administrative fine print matters. When you check out on AliExpress, Singapore 9% GST is calculated and collected automatically at checkout, alongside the platform delivery estimate. Keep in mind that international seller warranties do not transfer locally. The official authorized service center in Singapore will not repair gray-market or overseas items for free under warranty. If the quartz movement malfunctions three months down the road, you will have to pay a local repair bench out of pocket or deal with complicated cross-border return shipping. Learn more about cross-border risks in our guide to buying a Casio on AliExpress in Singapore.
The verdict
If your goal is an ultra-affordable, low-stress watch for work and errands, the Casio Watch Women Watches Luxury Set offers classic LTP utility at S$42.56. That said, treat the purchase realistically. You are foregoing local distributor warranty coverage and accepting basic 30m splash resistance that cannot handle swimming. As long as you review real buyer photographs to confirm authentic caseback markings and accept the lack of local after-sales support, this budget quartz piece can serve as a decent, no-frills daily beater.
What works
- Budget-friendly price of S$42.56 for an established quartz model line
- Compact everyday style suited for daily office wear and commuting
- Reliable quartz timekeeping without the need for manual winding
What to watch for
- 30m water resistance is only safe for splashes, not swimming or sports
- No valid Singapore distributor warranty for local repairs
- Risk of counterfeit goods requires careful seller and review vetting
Quick answers
Can I wear the Casio LTP-1169 while swimming?
No. The 30m water resistance rating is designed only for minor splashes and rain. Submerging the watch in a pool will likely compromise the seals.
Will the local Singapore Casio service center fix this under warranty?
No. Watches bought from overseas AliExpress stores are treated as parallel imports and lack valid local authorized distributor warranty cards.
Do I have to pay extra tax upon delivery in Singapore?
No extra import duty applies for typical personal orders, and Singapore 9% GST is automatically calculated and paid at AliExpress checkout.
